Sometimes, we need to test out communication protocols like UART and I2C on two Arduino boards. Based on my experience, the testing experience on the Arduino IDE is far from optimal. First, you have to create a separate instance of the IDE in order to open two serial ports simultaneously. Second, ports are occasionally deselected by “magic” and you have to reselect them from the tools->port dropdown. Third, the IDE lacks useful features like autocomplete, goto definition, and flexible pane layout. There are many tutorials out there on how to set up a Raspberry Pi 4 as a Clash server. However, in my case, I’m using the Pi as a desktop replacement. After some research, I noticed that most Clash clients like Clash for Windows and ClashX do not support Raspberry Pi. However, Clash does conveniently provide release binary for Linux systems on armv7, which matches our Pi 4. So let’s get cranking!

繁简分化的变迁

五四新文化运动时期,许多学者把国力的落后归咎于教育的落后, 又把教育的落后归咎于汉字的落后。学者钱玄同发表声讨汉字的檄文,认为取消汉文改采英文或法文,可以彻底剿滅道教、废除孔教、“使中国民族为20 世纪之文明民族。”鲁迅也赞同文字改革,提出要废除汉字。他在多篇文章中说:“汉字和大众是势不两立的”、“要推行大众语文,必须用罗马字拼音”、“方块汉字真是愚民政策的利器”、“汉字也是中国劳苦大众身上的一个结核,病菌都潜伏在里面,倘不首先除去它,结果只有自己死”、“如果不想大家来给旧文字作牺牲,就得牺牲掉旧文字。”

钱玄同和鲁迅等学者支持的“汉字拉丁化”方案被证明是不可行的。只记录读音的拉丁化方案无法区分像“邮票”和“油票”这样的同音词,而根据《中文拼音辞汇初稿》统计,超过10%的汉语词汇都同音。同一时期,也有学者支持另一种相对保守的方案——简化汉字。1909年,陆费逵发表“普通教育应当采用俗体字”一文后,许多学者整理了历代流行于民间的非正式“俗字”。国民政府于1935年公布了《第一批简体字表》,收字324个。中华人民共和国成立后,吴玉章和黎锦熙等人成立中国文字改革委员会,遵循从俗从简、规范化、稳定性、实用性的原则继续了汉字简化工作。1964年公布《简化字总表》,收字2238个,之后相继对总表进行了小范围改动,发展成如今通行的简化字。虽然《简化字总表》收字众多,但大部分简化字是由类推简化的原则衍生而出,其实简化的核心汉字只有515个。汉字简化是否必要、利弊得失等复杂问题,我们这里不做讨论,大家如果感兴趣可以阅读“参考”部分的第一条。

JavaScript affords us so much flexibility that we can sketch up a program in minutes. Sketching is excellent for trying out new concepts or experimenting with new techniques. However, when we are trying to produce scalable and reliable software, sketching often produces unmaintainable spaghetti code.
